Julien Gaubert-Molina began his career at IBM in France and London to develop skills in operational marketing before joining Hermès in New York and Paris, to support the development of Hermes.com.
In June 2009, Julien integrated Hermès Leather Goods division as head of European and Asian markets in charge of business development. He also coordinated the Visual Merchandising guidelines for Hermes Group, and rethought the leather training program. This experience gave Julien a deep understanding of retail challenges for the luxury industry.
In 2012 Julien joined “SAME SAME but different”, a social & digital creative consulting firm with a strong footprint in China market. In 2013, Julien moved to Shanghai to support SAME SAME China development, and then set up in 2014 the SAME SAME Hong Kong office as a new appointed Managing Director.
In 2016, Julien has enlarged its responsibilities to Managing Director for SAME SAME Greater China activities covering consulting, social and digital projects. He is supporting Luxury, Fashion, Beauty, Automotive and Hospitality clients and helps brands to face their digital challenges and also drive tactical strategies to better target Chinese travelers.
